Our Mission: To unite parents and communities from Frank Black Middle School and neighboring elementary, middle and high schools in creating opportunities for children to grow through Tennis—encouraging teamwork, discipline, confidence, and school pride while strengthening student engagement and supporting long-term participation in public schools through positive involvement.

Our History: In 2024, the local community was fortunate enough to welcome Don and Karen Hackett With a daughter and three grandchildren in the community, and an extreme passion for Tennis – they embraced the opportunity to “invest in the community and empower every student-athlete to reach their full potential on the court, in the classroom, and beyond.

The Hacketts formed Space City Tennis (SCT) LLC - a nonprofit business, “dedicated to advancing junior tennis programs across the Houston Independent School District.”
